Headquartered in Houston, Texas, ConocoPhillips stock is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol ?COP.???Description:?The IT Business Analyst position for the Legal organization will be primarily responsible for meeting the Information System needs of the Legal department which includes electronic discovery and document productions, matter management and invoicing feeds, legal forms management, ethics office annual compliance training and attestations, and other legal department processes. The Business Analyst will be accountable for translating business strategies into IT requirements and developing business requirements for IS services to help deliver value to Business Units.?The position is also?accountable to the IS function for advocacy of the IS policies, strategies, processes and practices.??Responsibilities may include:The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for:?

  • Converting business requirements and plans into actionable IT services
  • Identifying and defining BU work processes and related IT systems and services and actively initiating improvements to the processes and systems
  • Communication with the BU on IT services, costs and needs
  • Managing the IT Long Range Plan for the BU through translating business needs/strategies into IT requirements and opportunities
  • Completing project FEL (Front End Loading) and funding approval for IT project opportunities, leading projects where appropriate
  • Leading Business Analyst activities on IT projects for the business unit
  • Defining IT and BU performance metrics
  • Managing the WE (Work Excellence) process for project and enhanced service requests
  • Managing, reporting, and forecasting monthly IT costs for the BU against the current budget
  • Providing input to the budgeting process and obtaining BU alignment
  • Defining service level requirements, value, demand and costs
  • Prioritizing work across various enhancement requests
  • Maintaining relationships with contractors, software vendors, and software integrators
  • Working with the BU, Service Management and ITSS Service Delivery, develop and document SLA's (Service Level Agreements)
  • Maintain confidential information

? Basic/Required:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Bachelor?s degree or 5+ years of direct experience in an IT related field
  • Proficient (perform the skill with limited assistance) with Microsoft Office tools
Preferred:
  • Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related Information Technology field
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to influence
  • Willingness to manage and coordinate multiple projects and priorities
  • Demonstrated experience bringing new technologies into the Enterprise
  • Demonstrated experience in an IT Business Analyst role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Legal processes such as compliance training and sign off, electronic discovery and document production for legal cases, and legal matter life-cycle management.
  • Demonstrated experience developing service/support models and/or Service Level Agreements (SLA's) for IT services
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute test plans
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings and process mapping sessions
  • Demonstrated SAP experience with project costs and invoicing functionality
  • Demonstrated experience in project management methodology and tools
  • Demonstrated experience with business process management methodology and tools
  • Demonstrated experience with organizational change management methodology and tools
  • Works well in a team environment and ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Demonstrated independent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Willingness to work independently, self motivated with strong customer orientation
  • Expert (demonstrated skills without assistance) with Microsoft Office tools
